Dailyride: new Shopify theme and e-bike configurator
A custom Shopify theme and a configurator where the customer adds a lock, tracker and insurance before checkout.
What is Dailyride?
Dailyride is a fatbike / e-bike store selling in the Netherlands on Shopify Plus. The goal was to get more visitors to buy and make each order a bit bigger, through a clearer store and upsells in a configurator.
Customization Popup
I built the customization popup to raise the average order value. The customer can add things like a bike lock, a tracker, insurance and delivery options before completing the purchase.
Metaobject Configuration
To keep the upsells flexible, I used metaobjects. Different bikes have different upsells, and some accessories are only compatible with specific models. With metaobjects the setup is simple: similar bikes can share upsells without each product being set up by hand.
Shopify Function
A Shopify Function handles the special delivery options. If a customer chooses assembled delivery (instead of receiving the bike in a box), an additional €50 charge is applied automatically. The price changes as soon as the customer picks it.
New Menu
I built a new menu so customers get to the right bike and the right accessories faster.
Product Cards
I redesigned the product cards so they are clearer and easier to compare.
Final Thoughts
The work is still ongoing. I keep working on the store and testing new changes to get more visitors to buy.
