Every Heltra build starts blank. No off-the-shelf template, no theme rebadging — design and code shaped around your brand, your catalog, and the buying journey that actually converts your audience. Themes are hand-written in Liquid with modern Tailwind-style utility CSS, structured for Online Store 2.0 sections, and optimised so editors can rearrange the storefront from the customizer without breaking the layout.

02 · scale tier

Shopify Plus builds

Markets and B2B, Checkout Extensions, Shopify Functions for discounts and shipping logic, customer-account UI extensions, custom app blocks — the full Plus surface area. If your brand is on (or moving to) Shopify Plus, the build accounts for multi-region storefronts, wholesale, and the parts of checkout that used to need Shopify Scripts.

03 · core web vitals

Performance & Web Vitals

Every theme ships with Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals audits before launch. Sub-2-second Largest Contentful Paint across the catalog is the baseline, not a stretch goal. Image pipelines use the Shopify CDN with proper srcset and fetchpriority hints, third-party scripts get partytown or are removed, and critical CSS is inlined where it matters.

04 · post-launch

CRO & A/B testing

Launch is the beginning. Most clients keep a small retainer for iterative testing on the PDP, cart, and checkout — with decisions backed by GA4, Hotjar session replays, and Shopify analytics rather than vibes. When a custom split-testing rig is needed (VWO, Optimizely, or built-in-theme variants), the theme is structured to make swaps clean and reversible.

Landing pages

Coded fast, tracked tight. Single-purpose landing pages for paid traffic, product launches, and one-off campaigns, built as theme templates so the brand stays consistent and ad pixels keep firing the way your media buyer expects. Each page gets a clear primary CTA and the tracking events your funnel actually reports on.

06 · workflows

Custom Shopify apps

When no off-the-shelf app does the job cleanly, I build it. Private apps for merchant workflows, embedded admin tools, hreflang sync, custom pricing logic via Shopify Functions, headless data sync to internal systems — built on the standard Shopify CLI, Polaris where it makes sense, no Frankenstein integrations.

How is this different from a Shopify agency? +
Most agencies hand your project to a junior dev with a PM in between. With Heltra, you work with me directly — no middlemen, no offshore handoff. I take one client at a time, so your project has my full focus.
What's the typical project size? +
Custom themes start at $6,500 and typically run 3–5 weeks. Larger Shopify Plus rebuilds with custom apps and migrations are quoted per scope. Always fixed-fee, never hourly.
How long does a project take? +
A focused PDP or landing rebuild takes 3 weeks. A full theme rebuild is typically 5 weeks. Plus migrations with custom checkout work run longer — quoted per scope. I quote dates and I hit them.
Do you handle ongoing work? +
Most clients keep me on a small monthly retainer for iteration, A/B testing, and new features. Retainers are capped — I never take more than four at a time.
What if I just need a small fix? +
I don't take one-off fixes — the Shopify Experts marketplace is great for those. Heltra is for brands ready to invest in a custom build that compounds for years.
